Lear Family Foundation
The Lear Family Foundation is a private foundation, created in 1997 by Lyn and Norman Lear, to support a wide range of nonprofit organizations across the country. Areas of support include civil liberties, education, the environment, health, youth initiatives, civic activism, media and the arts. In addition to its annual commitments to the Norman Lear Center at USC Annenberg School for Communication, People For the American Way, and the Environmental Media Association, other examples of organizations and institutions supported by the Lear Family Foundation are:
